How to care for your garment.

A little extra care today means many more BENNI. moments to come. Our pieces are designed to last, but how you care for them makes all the difference. With a few thoughtful steps, each piece can continue to feel as special as the first time you wore it.

This guide will show you how to give each piece the care it deserves.

Cupro feels luxurious, much like silk, and needs a bit of extra care to stay that way. 

Do: Dry Clean or Hand wash in cold water. Stick to gentle detergents and let it dry naturally by laying flat or hanging in the shade. 

Don’t: Tumble dry or use high heat when ironing — low heat with a pressing cloth works best to protect its delicate fibres.

Light as air, mesh adds that something special, but it’s also prone to snags if not handled gently. 

Do: Hand wash in cold water or use a garment bag if cold machine washing. Let it air dry flat or on a hanger to maintain its lightness. 

Don’t: Wash with rough surfaces like zippers or Velcro — these can easily catch and damage the fabric.

Stretchy and soft to the touch, jersey is a low-maintenance wardrobe staple.

Do: Machine wash in cold water, turning inside out to protect its shape. Let it air dry flat or hang up to avoid shrinkage or pilling. 

Don’t: Expose it to high heat, which can cause damage. If ironing is needed, stick to low heat or use a steamer.

Breathable and reliable, cotton is a classic, but it needs care to avoid shrinking. 

Do: Wash in cold water and air dry to prevent shrinkage. 

Don’t: Overheat when ironing. Stick to medium-high heat or steam to keep your cotton pieces looking crisp without risking damage.

Delicate and romantic, lace needs a gentle touch to maintain its integrity.

Do: Hand wash in cold water or use a delicate cycle in a laundry bag. Always lay flat to dry to preserve its shape. 

Don’t: Wring, twist, or use harsh detergents — these can stretch and distort the fabric.

Light and sheer, chiffon offers beautiful drape, but its fragile nature calls for extra care.

Do: Hand wash chiffon in cold water with a mild detergent. If using a machine, select a delicate cycle and place the garment in a mesh laundry bag. Let it air dry flat or hang it up, ensuring it’s in the shade to avoid sun damage.

Don’t: Avoid rough surfaces, including zippers in the wash–they can snag the fabric. Never wring or twist chiffon, as this can cause it to lose shape or stretch.

Soft suiting is designed to be worn again and again, special care will help them last. 

Do: Dry clean when necessary and air out between wears to keep them fresh. Wash separately with cold water. Use a steamer to smooth out creases and store hanging to maintain structure. 

Don’t: Skip the label. Always check for specific care instructions before washing, and avoid over-washing — spot clean when you can.
